This blog posts offers many possible mix-ins, but these are really the best blondies just by themselves. If you’d like to try brown butter blondies, melt butter in a saucepan until the butter becomes brown.
What is the difference between blondies and brownies?
The main difference between blonde brownies and brownies is the chocolate. Brownies are made with melted chocolate and cocoa powder, while blondies are made without chocolate and reach a yummy vanilla flavor.
What ingredients do I need to use to make Blonde Brownies?
One of the best parts about this small batch blondies recipe is the basic ingredients it uses. You probably already have most of these key ingredients in your pantry!
- Unsalted butter- butter will be melted butter
- Packed brown sugar- You can use dark brown sugar or light brown sugar
- Large eggs
- Vanilla extract

How do you make Blonde Brownies?
First, preheat the oven to 350 degrees F and spray a 8×8 square baking pan with cooking spray and line with parchment paper or coat with butter and lightly flour. This will help the blondies come out of the pan easily.
In a large bowl using a hand mixer or in the bowl of a stand mixer, mix the melted butter and brown sugar together until well combined.
Add the eggs and vanilla and stir until smooth.
Then, add the flour, baking powder, and salt and mix until well incorporated.
Pour the brownie batter into the prepared pan and spread out evenly using a rubber spatula.
Place the brownies in the preheated oven to bake for 25-30 minutes until edges are golden brown and toothpick comes out mostly clean.
Allow to cool completely on a wire rack, then cut into squares and enjoy with a tall glass of milk or a scoop of ice cream.
